I'm really pleased to have been invited to exhibit at this exclusive fair.  When dropping off my work I had a sneak preview of the other pictures; lots of beautiful and high standard artwork! It is a lovely town with inspiring architecture too.

'The spectacular annual event organised by Friends of the Pavilion and showcasing over 300 original works by around 100 Highland artists.' (Pavilion website)

An Talla Solais Winter West Coast Open

I'm delighted to be exhibiting two pieces, including the below sculpture made out of slivers of photographs, at this exciting gallery.

'Our annual Open exhibition returns this year to cheer the winter. Although this is a small exhibition occupying just one room of the gallery there is a host of work to enjoy, from near and far... '

'The exhibition opens on Friday the 28th between 6 pm and 8 pm and then continues until the 21st of December.'

Spinningdale Ladies Arts and Crafts Gathering

Saturday 25 October in the Carnegie Hall Clashmore, 10am to 4.30pm.

I'll have some of my art on display at this craft fayre.  It looks like there will be some really good arts and crafts there.

'An ideal opportunity to get some early Christmas shopping done comes up at the end of the month when Spinningdale Ladies Committee holds its arts and crafts gathering on Saturday, October 25, in Carnegie Hall, Clashmore. This established event is a firm favourite in the Sutherland calendar and the proceeds are used for the benefit of the Spinningdale community. Exhibitors will bring with them a wide and interesting variety of crafts from woodwork, jewellery and pottery to candles and paintings.

Acrylic Painting Classes

I will be starting teaching some acrylic painting classes.

This is a good introduction to learn the basics, gradually working your way up to more complicated paintings.  Acrylics are very versatile - they can be used like oil or watercolour.  But you can always cover over your mistakes and they are quick to dry!

Gordon House Gallery, Dornoch

I am very pleased that my art is now displayed at this gallery.  They have a lovely cafe where you can always have a cup of tea between looking at the artwork.
